Wai san & William: 6th May Marina Mandarin

  • May. 7th, 2007 at 12:06 PM

An original love song for the couple and an original tribute song to their parents.

The joy of Music…

Wai San says:
"Thank you for the wonderful and fantastic performance. Received many good feedbacks and enquires on who you people are.

It was really a great night. The songs are wonderful too. We like the songs that you have written for us. Even both parents like the songs too. I can see that my mum nearly cried (with happiness) when she heard the song. Though both of us are running around, we really enjoyed the songs that were sang. You have left us with wonderful memories of the night.

Thanks again for the good performance and the 2 songs that you have written :)"

Nights like Wai San and William’s wedding are rare. The beautiful couple and their love story was told in an original song and our very own photomontage MTV. Wai San and William walked into a groovy and rousing version of their original song “Sing a song of love” performed by our 6-piece band with full sound crew support. The effect was marvelous.

The spontaneity of the crowd was amazing, and their singing infective! Yes! They were singing and clapping along to our music. The later the night went, and the more we sang, the more their spirits soared. It was a touching and heartwarming sight to see how music can transcend all barriers. We were strangers when we entered the ballroom, but by the time we sang our double encore songs, the crowd and us were one. This is what concerts are made of, and we are just so happy that we managed to bring a night of unforgettable memories to Wai San and William and their families and friends.

Wai San and William decided on their original song very early on when we first met. Subsequently she expressed her wish to surprise her parents (and her hubby William) by getting us to produce a tribute song to their parents. Wai San wrote us a touching script on what she wanted to say to her parents and Lorraine transcribed it into Chinese words. Wai san’s sister too played her part by creating a photomontage with this very special song and everyone had a truly nostalgic time looking at both Wai san and Williams’ parents’ younger days photos. It was very meaningful indeed for the couple to remember to thank their parents in the greatest day of their lives. The thought and effort would have moved any parent.

Very special CD -an original song specially written for the couple's parents

We had an unforgettable and richly enjoyable night performing too. When Lorraine sang “Jang Shen Xiang Qi” by Feng Fei Fei, the crowd stood up and sang, waved and danced along. The chorus of their voices reverberated inside Marina Mandarin’s main ballroom. A wonderful sight. Lorraine had flowers from the guests and so did Lizhang! All these small things contributed to bring magic, music and inspiration to the wedding. Oh, and the crowd just went delirious when their chants for “xiao wei” (A famous Chinese pop song of recent times) was duly delivered by Lizhang – an impromptu encore song. It has been a long time since I have heard crowds singing louder than our singers! Real cool!

If there was a showcase on how weddings should be, Wai San and William’s wedding was the best one could find. We had a good emcee in Cyril, a beautiful couple, a wonderful photographer in Kelvin from Lightedpixels, good sound crew, a top class music group (erhem), and a fantastic-fabulous-awesome crowd. Whoa!

Thank you all for such a wonderful night! We, at Wedding Harmony will remember today as our finest nights for a long time to come!

Thank you for the wonderful night
Hi, I must say I'm and in fact, all of us were very impressed by the whole team. We were sitting at the VIP table right in front of you and the guy who kept snapping photos of both the singers.

Why? Because the experience you gave me were unforgettable and something for me to blog about.

All the best to all of you and I will definitely share with my friends about Wedding Harmony!!! :)
